Fox News did what I thought was impossible. They killed conservative thought as a viable option in the mainstream media by firing Tucker Carlson .
With the passing of Rush Limbaugh and the firing of Tucker Carlson we have no meaningful opposition to what Joe Biden and the socialist in Dc and media want. It’s sad.
One of the reasons why the ruling class at all levels of the United States government stays in charge is the amount of throughly Medicare people who are journalists, political experts and other leaders. When I see some of these people talk on television 📺 or analyze world events I am thoroughly unimpressed. It seems that the level of education and achievement needed to work in television or government is rather low.
What does that mean in practical terms? Well that’s a good question. It means that many of us are governed by people who are afraid of being challenged and also know that maybe their hold over us the people is tenuous.
Given the way thatAmerican society functions with its need for instant gratification and quick action iT seems To me that it’s a part time sport and not the sole focus of our attention. If this is true why would we have a 6 month , 162 game schedule as if it’s the 1970’s or 1990’s?
Additionally if your team doesn’t draw 25,000 a game it’s a waste of time. That is why teams don’t move.
Recently certain modern Orthodox institutions have decided to have a women’s Megillah reading for Purim , I don’t know about the other Megillah if there is such a reading . The question is is this done list a because the women rally want to raad the Megillah or is it a publicity stunt to get attention . Do they want to read Vayakhel Pekudei in a couple of weeks? Some do but most don’t .
Recently the two Jewish schools that I attended in Seattle have hired new heads of school.
One I am pleased with and one I am not.
What I want to explore is why certain people want to be on the board of a school and others don’t.
One reason for friends of mine not wanting to be on the board of a school is that it is very time consuming.
Most of these men have busy jobs, wives families and other religious commitments. They do not
Want to spend 20 hours a week or more volunteering to be on the board of a school.
Another reason is that in a community like Seattle which is smaller than New York area communities, the Jewish community is a fish bowl and everyone seems to know everyone or have run into some of the other people , even if they aren’t in your first social or family circle. It can be intimidating and potentially awkward.
The fatal flaw of my alma mater approach is that they didn’t cultivate good enough relationships with
other students who aren’t part of their circle and those people now are on the board of the school and aren’t as willing to hire one of their students as a texher or principal (aka Head of School).

While I used to like the sport, after the black eye and scandal of the Brad Aldrich affair has caused irreparable harm and damage to the sport. Yes certain people lost their job. However the NHL response was inadequate and insufficient as far as addressing this scandal and the Buck should stop with Gary Bettman and until he resigns or retires (given his age that is a possibility), no meaningful change will come to this sport.
It is not enough for the major players in the scandal on Chicago to lose their jobs and not get jobs in hockey. I believe with a fair amount of certainty that Bettman and the suits in the NHL office knew something about this scandal or potential issue but didn’t do anything on it until it was too late.
The point is that the NHL has a major cultural and leadership problem with the good old boys club who protect each other and Bettman and Daly are part of it whether they like to admit it or not. For all of the hockey diehard fans who tolerate this nonsense I don’t know what to say. Get out of the sport and if enough people stop watching then they will get the message.
What is the point of watching a sport that is run by Neanderthal men who make cosmetic changes and won’t take the time or energy to really address the issues? The sport needs new leadership and vision. Bettman has been there too long. Time for a younger voice and vision.
A question for all of the Karl Rove types who populate the GOP establishment and don’t want Trump to run again. Who is your savior or proverbial White Knight in shining armor for 2024?
Liz Cheney, Jeb Bush, Larry Hogan , Lindsey Graham? Please tell me.
